Sending your script to yourself in the mail

…is a bad idea. Unless you’re one of those people whose self esteem is linked to how much mail they get (like myself).

    I agree. If you’ve invested the time to prepare a script, go the extra distance to properly protect it. Copyrights are not difficult to register. I’ve done them in the past.
